Your website has one job: convince a stranger, usually on a phone, usually in a hurry, that you're the right business to call. Most trade websites fail at that job not because they look old, but because they're slow, the phone number is hard to find, and nothing on the page proves the business has done this work nearby.
We build new sites and repair existing ones for Langley trades and local businesses. We handle the marketing and the site; you handle the trade.
What a Langley customer needs to see in ten seconds
People decide quickly. In the first screen on a phone, your site should show:
- What you do, in plain words: "Residential roofing and gutters" beats "Quality solutions since 2009".
- Where you work, naming the communities you serve, such as Walnut Grove, Murrayville, Brookswood or the City of Langley.
- Why you, with one or two specific, true reasons: years in business, licences you hold, the type of job you specialise in.
- How to reach you, with a tap-to-call button, a text option and an email address, all visible without scrolling.
Everything else on the site exists to support those four things.
What's included
Speed and stability on phones
Google measures page experience with Core Web Vitals: how fast the main content appears, how quickly the page responds to a tap, and whether things jump around while loading. We build lightweight pages, compress images properly and avoid heavy add-ons, so the site works on a job site with patchy signal as well as on home Wi-Fi.
Service pages that answer real questions
Each main service gets its own page, written around the questions customers actually ask: what it costs in rough terms, how long it takes, what affects the price, what you need from them. Google asks for helpful, people-first content, and so do customers.
Proof from your own Langley jobs
We help you collect and present:
- before-and-after photos from real local jobs, with the customer's permission
- short project notes naming the community and the problem solved
- your licences and trade certifications, linked to the issuing body where possible
- your Google reviews, shown as a link to the source rather than copied quotes
Clear contact options, with no forms
Every page shows call, text and email options. We avoid quote forms because they often sit unanswered and create a delay that costs jobs. If you miss calls during the day, a missed-call text-back tool is worth considering, and we can advise on that.
Ownership and handover
You own the domain, the content and the site. We document logins and keep them in your name. If you ever move on, the handover is a short list, not a hostage negotiation.
Who it's for
- trades whose site is slow, dated or impossible to edit
- businesses getting traffic from ads or search but few calls
- new businesses that need a credible site quickly
- storefronts whose site doesn't answer hours, location and parking clearly
Timeline
| Scope | Typical timeline |
|---|---|
| Repair and speed work on an existing site | 2–4 weeks |
| New site, 5–10 pages | 3–6 weeks |
| Larger site with many services or locations | 6–10 weeks |
Most of the time is spent on content, not code. The sooner we get your job photos, service details and licence information, the sooner the site goes live.
How we measure results
A website is measured by what visitors do. We track calls, texts and emails from the site; the share of visitors who contact you; page speed scores on mobile; and which pages lead to contact. We compare those numbers before and after any change, so you can see whether the work paid off.
Mistakes we fix most often
- A phone number only in the footer. On a phone, that's a long scroll away.
- Sliders and autoplay video at the top. They slow the page and push the important information down.
- One page listing every service. Separate pages answer specific questions and rank for specific searches.
- Stock photos of smiling strangers. Customers can tell, and it erodes trust.
- A site the owner can't update. If adding a photo needs a developer, the site goes stale.
The website is usually the first fix before local search or paid search can pay off. Pricing explains how website work fits into each plan.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a new website or can you fix mine?
Often the existing site can be repaired: speed, layout of the phone number, clearer service pages and real job photos. We recommend a rebuild only when the platform itself is the problem, such as a site you can't edit or one that's very slow on phones.
Who owns the website?
You do: the domain, the content, the photos and the site itself. If we register anything for you, it's in your name. If you ever leave, you take everything with you.
Is a website included in the plans?
On the Trades.Agency Elite plan, website design packages are 50% off, and the Enterprise plan includes a website design and build in any package. On the Growth plan, website work is quoted separately.
Why don't you put a quote form on the site?
Because many trades lose leads in forms that nobody checks. We set sites up so visitors call, text or email, which reaches a person faster and is easier to track.
